Hikes for 19 September 2018

Longer walk
Les Vaux de Cernay - 25 km

Dear hiking friends,

This week, a “sportive” hike from Le Perray en Yvelines to Le Petit Moulin near l'Etang de Cernay.

The hike is about 25 km, no bail out (except if you have a map), about 350 m of elevation.
Steady pace so as not to come back too late.
As usual, take a picnic lunch, enough water and of course, shoes and clothing adapted to the season without forgetting your good mood.

Getting there:
From Paris-Montparnasse Train REPU at 8h24, arrving at Le Perray en Yvelines at 9h20 where I will be waiting for you.
Return by the same station.

See you on Wednesday.

Shorter walk
Forest of St Germain  -  14-15km

This week I propose a 14/15 km hike in the Foret of St. Germain-en-Laye. This hike is destined for those who prefer a less “sportif” hike than the one proposed by our dear Daniel R. We will follow the former “Chemin des Oratoires”, starting and ending at the RER A stop of St. Germain-en-Laye.

Getting there:
RER A train ZJIR, leaving Châtelet Les Halles at 9:21, Charles de Gaulle Étoile at 9:27, La Défense at 9:31, arriving at St. Germain at 9:51.  Rendez vous in front of the St. Germain church at the exit of the RER.
Return trains every 10 minutes.

As usual, remember to wear hiking shoes and clothes appropriate for the weather, plenty of water and a picnic lunch. And, of course your usual great sense of humor.

A mercredi!
Mary Lynne
