Mantes la Jolie – about 20 Km

Hello dear walkers,

After these 2 months very quiet, I propose a hike on the side of Mantes la Jolie between hills, country side and the banks of the Seine river. About 20 km and 300 m of elevation.

Getting there : Train TER 51001 from Paris St Lazare at 9h07 to Bréval arriving at Mantes la Jolie at 9h42 where I will waitting for you- Go out Mantes la Jolie side (not Mantes la Ville). 

Return by the same station (16h04 or 17h03 direct or other longer).

As usual, take a picnic lunch, water and shoes & clothing adapted to the season.

See you on Wednesday.

Bois de Vincennes  -  about  17 k with bailouts

Dear hiking friends,

Je propose une randonnée autour du Bois de Vincennes, plus ou moins 17 km (possibilités de quitter le groupe après 5 ou 11 km). 

Nous traverserons la cour du chateau, marcherons dans le jardin d'agronomie tropicale, verrons si Beethoven repose quelque part. 

Les plus courageux grimperont sur la butte aux canons.

I propose a hike around the Bois de Vincennes, more or less 17 km (possibilities to leave after 5 or 11 km). 

We will go through the yard of the castle, walk in the garden of tropical agriculture, see if Beethoven rests somewhere. 

The bravest will climb on "Butte aux canons". Bring picnic, water, your sun or... rain hat.

Getting there:

Meeting point : 10.00 am, by station Porte Dorée, metro line 8 or tramway T3 -  4 place Edouard Renard, in front of the hairdressing salon.

RV : 10h00, station Porte Dorée, métro ligne 8 ou tramway T3 -   place Edouard Renard, devant le salon de coiffure.

Rambouillet   -   20 k

Dear hiking friends,

This week  I propose a walk from Rambouillet to the Rochers d'Angene.  
                                          
This hike is about 20 Km long, not very hard.

 As usual, take a picnic lunch, water and of course, shoes and clothing adapted to the season.

Getting there:

From PARIS Montparnasse Train to Rambouillet at 9H06 arriving at Rambouillet at  9H41 where I will wait for you.

Return by the same station.

Forêt de Dourdan   -   16 k

Dear hiking friends,

We will walk a loop of 16 kilometers from Dourdan railway station, in the beautiful forest of Dourdan, full of splendid oaks, and shadowy. 

For those who like old stones, there is an awesome castle in downtown Dourdan. The walk is quite confortable with only on or two (not too) steep hills.

As usual take a picnic lunch, plenty of water, and of course appropriate shoes and clothing.

Getting there:

RER C  from Gare d’Auterlitz at 9h17  (Bibliothèque François Mitterrand at 9h21) arriving in Dourdan at 9h50

Return trains 8 and 38 minutes after the hour in Dourdan.

BE CAREFUL, FROM THE 15TH OF JULY TO THE 25 OF AUGUST THERE IS NO RER  C BETWEEN AVENUE HENRI MARTIN AND 

PARIS AUSTERLITZ, AND BETWEEN JAVEL AND PARIS AUSTERLITZ.

Chers amis randonneurs

Nous ferons une boucle de 16 kilomètres depuis la gare de Dourdan dans la magnifique forêt de Dourdan, pleine de chênes magnifiques, et ombragée. 

Pour les amoureux de vieilles pierres, il y a un splendide château en ville. La randonnée ne présente pas de difficultés majeures, exceptées une ou 

deux montées pas trop raides.

Comme d’habitude, prenez un pique-nique, beaucoup d’eau, et bien sur chaussures et vêtements appropriés.

Pour s’y rendre

RER C  Gare Paris Austerlitz à 9h17 arrivée à Jourdan à 9h50

Train de retour à 08, et O38 après l’heure.

ATTENTION, DU 15 JUILLET AU 25 AOUT, IL N’Y A PAS DE RER C ENTRE AVENUE HENRI MARTIN ET PARIS AUSTERLITZ, ET ENTRE jAVEL ET PARIS AUSTERLITZ;
