Coulée verte - Parc de Sceaux - 13k
Hello Walkers,
As a short option for next Wednesday, I propose a 13km walk along the Coulée verte, located south of Paris.
Created in the 1980s when the TGV Atlantique was built, the space above and alongside the rail-road line was transformed into a green ribbon for hikers and cyclists.
We'll start at Châtillon then follow the track through Bagneux, Fontenay aux Roses, Sceaux with a detour to Parc de Sceaux where we'll have a look on the Château then we'll picnic under cherry trees. I hope the weather will permit us to sit on the carpet of petals, since the blossoming has just ended, sorry.
After lunch (it will be 9km), you can take RER B at the nearby station Croix de Berny, zone 3, frequent trains to Paris.
Otherwise we'll go on along the Coulée Verte passing through Châtenay then Antony to Massy-Verrières.
Getting there:
Take the Metro line 13 that passes through Gare St. Lazare and Gare Montparnasse direction Chatillon-Montrouge.
Get off at Châtillon-Montrouge, take Sortie Châtillon (on right) where I will wait for you. RV at 10am.
Return on the RER B or C from station Massy Verrières (zone 4), trains every 15 minutes.
Looking forward to seeing you,
Dominika
NB: Meeting point is at/on the platform, those who wish to travel together usually sit in
the rear car.
