The two walk options for April 15 are: 1.) a short walk with Martina and 2.) a longer one in the Foret de Fontainebleau with Laurence. All hikers need personal accident and liability insurance.
1.) On Wednesday April 15 I am back in Paris and offer to lead a shorter walk starting in Boulogne-Billancourt.
I wait for you from 9.45 am at the end station of Metro line 10 Boulogne Pont St. Cloud.
At the terminus you go back and up the steps and then to the left steps again to exit on the street level in front of the Brasserie Jean-Baptiste where I will wait for you.
10 am we are leaving and will go to Parc Rothchild, then to the Bois de Boulogne and, after crossing the Seine, up to St. Cloud and the parc St. Cloud. Then at 1 pm we will be back at our starting point.
As always, wear the right clothes and good walking shoes, have something to drink and a snack and be in good spirits.
See you soon,
Martina David-Ault

2.) Hike for April 15 - Forêt de Fontainebleau
--
The hike will start from Bois le Roi and will end in Fontainebleau-Avon. It should be about 17k.
We will walk through the forest to Rocher St Germain, part of Rochers Cassepot and Rochers du Mont Ussy, and other smaller rock formations near Fontainebleau.
There will be ups and downs (estimated cumulative elevation gain: 300m), boulders and narrow passages that may not agree with bad knees.
Wear good footwear, poles are a good idea. It should be warm, carry enough water. Lunch will be around 1pm, bring snacks.
All hikers need personal accident and liability insurance.
GETTING THERE:
-Take train Gamu from Gare de Lyon direction Montargis at 9.19, arriving at Bois le Roi at 9.50, Zone 5 (the train stops at Melun at 9:45. Departure should be from Hall 1, but check on arrival.). I will meet you at Gare de Lyon, we will sit in the last car.
-Return trains from Fontainebleau-Avon every half hour. 16.00 (arr:16.41) - 16:30 (arr:17.15)
There is a brasserie next to the train station.
If you do not have a "Passe Navigo", or benefit from any discounted fares, buy a "Mobilis 5 zones" (16.60€)
See you on Wednesday!
Laurence
