Rosny /Seine forest - 23 k
Dear walkers,
This week, I propose a hike from Buchelay to Buchelay (Near Mantes la jolie) through the Rosny Forest.
The path is not too hard but about 23 km and 500 m of elevation.
It's not easy to have a bail out, however if you have a map ... why not ? The pace will be sustained to compensate for the late start.
Getting there :
At Paris St Lazare- Train 51001 Dir Bréval at 9.07, arriving at Mantes la jolie at 9.40
(It's a direct train, do not use "via Poissy" or "via Conflans, it's very long).
Next, leave the station by the footbridge, Mantes la Ville side and take bus "K" which leaves quay 21 at 10.00.
Get off at Buchelay Mairie where I will wait for you.
Meet up in front of the platform, travel in the rear car with the group if you wish.
Return to Paris by the same station.
As usual, take a picnic lunch, water and of course, shoes and clothing adapted to the season without forgetting your good mood.
See you on Wednesday,
Daniel R.

Fontainebleau Forest - Thomery / Fontainebleau - 18km
We will hike from Thomery to Fontainebleau-Avon . It should be 18-19k.
We will walk through forest and rock formations (Malmontagne, Rocher de Bouligny & Rocher d’Avon) to reach Chateau de Fontainebleau.
There will be ups and downs. Wear good footwear, bring snacks and enough water as there is no water in the forest.
Hikers need personal accident and liability insurance.
GETTING THERE:
-Take train GAMA to Montargis at 9.20 from Gare de Lyon, arriving at Thomery at 10.05, Zone 5 (the train stops at Melun). Departure should be from Hall 1 -lettered platforms- but check on arrival.
I will meet you at Gare de Lyon, we will sit in the rear car.
- Return trains from Fontainebleau-Avon every half hour. 16:00, 16:31, 17:00…
There is a brasserie next to the train station .
If you do not have a "Passe Navigo", or benefit from any discounted fares, buy a "Mobilis 5 zones" (16.60€)
See you on Wednesday!
