Dear hiking friends,

I wish you all the best for the new year and hope that you will all be able
to join the group on many other walking adventures.

To start the new year, if you are available and would like to join, Daniel R.
is offering a walk this Thursday.

We will resume our Wednesday walks on 16 January
(unless someone offers a walk for 9 January, in which case, the information will
be sent Friday at the latest.)

Happy New Year

Along the Vaucouleur valley - 20 km

Dear hiking friends,
First of all, happy new year to all. In order to eliminate the excesses of the holiday season, I propose you a walk along the Vaucouleur valley,

The Vaucouleur river is a small river witch end into the Seine river, near Mantes la Jolie.
We will follow its valley through hills and small villages before returning to Mantes.
The hike is about 20 km, not too hard (about 350 m of elevation). Bailout possible (15km only)
As usual, take a picnic lunch, water and of course, shoes and clothing adapted to the season without forgetting your good mood.
 Getting there :
From Paris-St Lazare Train to Bréval at 9h07, arriving at Mantes la Jolie at 9h42.        Then exit by the footbridge side Mantes la Ville and take the bus, line K, which starts from quay 21        at 10h00 direction "Buchelay René Renault" (Zone 5). Get off at "Marronniers" (Ask at the driver if need be) where I will wait for you.

Return by the same station, direct trains at 16h04 and 17h01

See you on Wednesday.

Daniel
