 Cergy St Christophe  -   21km

Hello IDF-Walkers, Walk for the 1 February 2017.  I propose this week a loop from Cergy St Christophe to Cergy St Christphe between countryside and "Base de Loisirs de Cergy". About 21 km and 400 m of elevation. Easy ! Getting there : RER A from Gare de Lyon, departure at 8h32    (Train UVAR, also stops at  Châtelet, La Defense…),          arriving at Cergy St Cristophe at 9h16 where I will wait you.  Meet up on departure platform, travel in the rear car with group, if you so wish.  As usual, bring your picnic lunch, water and Winter gear. Bois de Vincennes   -     14 km / With extension + 3 km / With bailout: 5/6 km

Happy New Year Fellow-Walkers,         Our Walk on 25 January 2017. I will lead you to the 4 lakes of the Bois de Vincennes. Approximate distance: 14 km / With extension + 3 km / With bailout: 5/6 km.  ---- The party -- A snack at the gazebo and a lunch in an ancient cartridge factory which now houses several theaters.    ---- Bring your picnic lunch, water and Winter gear. Don't forget your "galette des rois" and your crowns. ---- Concernant le pique-nique -- Oublions le grignotage, ce sera meilleur pour la santé. Amenons nos galettes des rois et partageons-les... avec ou sans frangipane, aux pommes, etc. Ainsi nous aurons plusieurs couronnes, la marche n'en sera que plus joyeuse. Ne faites pas de folie quand même, nous ne sommes pas encore roi ou reine. Les chocolats resteront appréciés. Le cidre et la poire. Why not? ---- Meeting -- 10:00 am at square des Combattants-d'Indochine at the foot of the golden statue, 4, place Edouard-Renard devant le salon de coiffure. Get there -- Métro Porte Dorée (line 8). Canaux des pays de Marne et du Morin - 23/25 kms

Hello fellow-walkers,                                                                                                                            

A BRIEF DESCRIPTION                                                                                                                      

De Esbly à Lagny par les canaux des pays de Marne et du Grand Morin en partie le long de l'eau avec une liaison par les coteaux des vallées du Grand Morin et de la Marne offrant de beaux points de      vue, la traversée de quelques villages, notamment Couilly-Pont-aux Dames et Quincy Voisins avec son château dans les jardins duquel nous ferons notre courte pause picrique                                               
                                                                                                                                                            

From Esbly to Lagny along the canals of the Marne and the Grand Morin going from one to the          other across  hillsides with panoramas overlooking valleys.  We will also walk through pictoresque      villages such as Couilly-Pont-aux-Dames and Quincy Voisins with its impressive Castle.*  We will        have a short break in the castle gardens for our picnic lunch.                                                             

Getting there: 

Depart: Gare de l'Est Train pour ESBLY à 9.01 arrivée gare d'ESBLY 9.32                                       

Retour par la Gare de Lagny, trains toutes les 26 minutes, par exemple:  16.02, 16.28 etc                

Departure:   Gare de l'Est: train pour ESBLY à 9.01 arriving  Esbly Train Station at 9.32                 

Return from Gare de Lagny: trains every 26 minutes: for example 16.02-16.28 etc                           

Retrouvailles sur le quai devant voie du départ du train ou dans le dernier compartiment                   

Meet up in front of departure platform, travel in the rear car with group, if you so wish.                 

Distance: 23/25 kms, peu de montées/descentes - Length: 23/25 km, few hilly parts.                      

On espère maintenir une bonne cadence pour arriver avant la nuit!                                                     

We hope to keep up a good pace so as to get to the end before nightfall!                                          

Météo prévu: -6°C à -1°C - alors, si difficultés, possibilité de raccourcir à 15 KM et revenir par la     Gare de Esbly.                                                                                                                                       

Weather forecast: - -6°C/-1°C; in problems encountered, hike could be shortened to 15 KM in which case return train will be from ESBLY

La Mauldre  - 16k

‌Cette randonnée de 16 km et 350 m de dénivelé nous conduira le long de la vallée de la Mauldre dans les Yvelynes entre Epone et Mareil sur Mauldre.

Départ 2 possibilités :

Départ gare Saint Lazare à 8h 56 en direction de Mantes-la-Jolie, arrivée à Epone-Mézières à 9h 42 (zone 5) où je vous attendrai

ou gare Montparnasse à 8h 37 en direction de Mantes-la-Jolie, arrivée à Epone-Mézières à 9h 42 (zone 5) où je vous attendrai

Retour : Gare de Mareil sur Mauldre en direction de Paris Montparnasse trains toutes les 30 mn à partir de 15h 15

This 16 km hike and 350 m of elevation will lead us along the valley of the river Mauldre in Yvelynes between Epone and Mareil sur Mauldre.

Getting there : 2 possibilities:

Train from Paris Saint Lazare to Mantes-la-Jolie at 8:56 am , arrival at Epone-Mézières at 9:42 am (zone 5) where I shall wait for you 

or train from Paris Montparnasse to Mantes-la-Jolie at 8:37, arrival at Epone-Mézières at 9:42 am (zone 5) where I shall wait for you

Return: station of Mareil sur Mauldre to Paris Montparnasse trains every 30 mn from 3:15 pm

Rambouillet  -  22 k

Hello dear walkers,

First of all, I would like to wish you all the best for the year 2017, good or better health and beautiful hiking with good friends.

So, as a start for this new year, in order to eliminate the excesses of the holidays, I propose a hike from Rambouillet which will lead us along the "gullies”- part of the hydraulic network put in place during the reign of Louis XIV to convey the water to Château de Versailles. 

The path is easy but about 22 km.

Getting there :At Paris Montparnasse Train TER 16757 Dir Chartres at 9.06, arriving at Rambouillet at 9.41 where I will wait for you. 

Meet up in front of the platform, travel in the rear car with the group if you wish.

Full fare one way: 8,00 € .    

Return to Paris by the same station.

As usual, take a picnic lunch, water and of course, shoes and clothing adapted to the season without forgetting your good mood.

Hike for Dec 21

Isle Adam forest -  19 km

This is a 19 km hike from Presle- Courcelles to l'Isle Adam through the L'Isle Adam forest.                         

Obviously, no ups and down.
Picnic lunch, hot drinks, sturdy shoes and more, are required as usual.                                                        

Getting there:

Gare du Nord  surface TER regional lines, Train PEMI to Persant - Beaumont at 8.40 am, arriving at Presles-Coucelles at 9:11. 

We usely sit together in the last car. 

Return trains from L'Isle-Adam Parmain  A train every 1/4 hour : 15:30, 15:45, and so on, depending on our pace.

From Dourdan to St Chéron   -   16 or 20 km

20 km ou 16 km Dénivelé : 200 m

Getting there:

Prendre le RER Ligne C pour Dourdan : Train DEBO à 8H37 à Invalides ou à 8h42 à St Michel ND 

Arrivée à Dourdan à 9h51

Retour même ligne depuis St Chéron à 15h47 ou 16h17

Possibilité de retour direct sur St Chéron  (16 km ) après le pique-nique.
