Hike for March 30

Hello walking friends,

Spring is here although the thermometer hasn't understood that yet. We have leaders who have planned great walks for us for all of April and most of May and June.

Catherine Maussion will lead us next Wednesday, 18km, in the departments the Val-de-Marne and the Seine et Marne. Here is her info:

This program is strongly recommended for those suffering from altitude sickness. The only hill we have to go up is approximatively 20 meters...
We will meet at Chatelet Les Halles, RER A at 9h02 (at Nation RER A, at 9h08) arriving at Boissy St Leger, the terminus at 9h31.
There is an RER every 10 minutes.

We come back from Ozoir-La-Ferrière, RER E. So it's not a loop for those with a car... There is an RER approximatively every 30 minutes with a change at Val de Fontenay, to come back to Nation, via RER A.

The program crosses two forests (Forêt du Bois Gros and Forêt Notre-Dame), passes by two castles (Château des Marmousets et Château des Agneaux),  a lot of huge oaks trees, and with any luck, some ashy herons.

Be ready to walk 18 kilometers along trails, but occasionally by-roads, in the company of a mixture of sounds, such as the babble of chickadees and sparrows, and more contemporary sounds too...

No bail out. Come with adapted clothes, shoes, not forgetting picnic, sweets and energy drinks.

See you soon !

Catherine
